Notable players with 1st year eligibility are: Curtis Martin who spent most of his tenure with The New York Jets and gained over 14,000 rushing yards and 90 rushing touchdowns during his 11 year career.
RB Jerome Bettis the long time Pittsburgh Steeler whose career numbers are very close to Martins with 13,662 rushing yards and 91 rushing touchdowns during his great career.
Other Notable returning nominees are Wide Receivers Cris Carter, Tim Brown, and Andre Reed.
Long time Head Coach Bill Parcells and Commissioner Paul Tagliabue are also up for the Hall of Fame this year.
